Infidelity Test Kits - Is your spouse is sleeping with someone else?
Infidelity test kits can be used to help confirm your suspicions that your spouse is sleeping with someone else. The
Checkmate Infidelity test kit
checks for semen on your spouse's underwear or clothing. Apparently, the tests are very sensitive and can detect amounts so small that they are they are not visible to the eye. I personally have not used these tests so I cannot vouch for how good they are. I would imagine that they would work better for catching women who have cheated as the semen would drip out for several hours post intercourse (assuming they did not use a condom). Men do secrete a small amount of semen when aroused and, therefore, could have a small amount of semen in their shorts. Obviously, your spouse would need to be sharing the same home with you to catch him/her this way. My spouse had moved out prior to my finding out about his infidelity. So, the infidelity test was not a option for me. However, I will try it if I ever suspect that he is cheating on me. Prior to using the test, please be absolutely sure that a positive result could not be the result of sexual relations between the two of you. You want to be sure that the two of you have not been intimate for several days before doing the test. The test may be able to give you good news also. Suppose that you suspect that your spouse is cheating but have no evidence, then this test may show that your partner has not had sexual relations. The Checkmate Infidelity Test Kit can test 10 items of clothing. So, I would recommend testing many articles of clothing over a period of time. If the tests are negative each time, your lover is either very clever or is not having a sexual relationship with anyone else. Women sometimes wear panty liners, so men would want to test these for semen instead of, or in addition to, the panties. The link above is to a website that has information of the test and ordering information. Another test for infidelity would be a DNA test to prove that any children you and your spouse have are yours. This would be for men to prove that their wife cheated on them when their child was conceived. It would not imply that she is still cheating, however. It is estimated that 8% of all children born in the U.S. are the result of the mother's extramarital affair. DNA testing can be done at home on the child without the mother's knowledge. DNA tests are 99.9% accurate. Home tests are not admissible for legal purposes, but can give men the assurance that their children are in fact theirs or the knowledge that they are not "biologically" related to them.
Identigene
offers an at home collection kit that men can use to test the paternity of their children. If the child is very young, a mouth swab is collected and sent to Identigene for processing. If the child/children are older, then the test can be performed on hair roots or a swab can be made from their toothbrushes. Each test is checked twice to confirm the results. Women, who have had extramarital affairs, can use the DNA paternity test to find out if their spouse is the "biological" father. The woman would need to get a sample of her husbands DNA. This can be obtained by getting a hair sample with the root attached from his hairbrush, a semen specimen after sex, or sampling from his toothbrush. This can be done without his knowledge. I don't recommend keeping the affair secret but that is a decision each person needs to make for themself. It is best to use a combination of methods to catch a cheating spouse. Your spouse may be clever, but all cheaters leave some clues. You just have to be patient and vigilant.
